I read an eclectic mix of books, but “How To Skimm Your Life†hits home. It contains a lot of what I wanted to teach my millennials, but what I’m not certain they heard.
The bold turquois book first caught my eye and piqued my curiosity while I was rushing through an airport with no time to stop, but I bought it as soon as I saw it again, and it was better than I expected. Not only a lifestyle guide, this is a life skills book presented in the most stress free manner I can imagine. My kids might love this! With headings such as Skimm Life, MBA, Money, and World, everything from wine appreciation to geopolitics is whimsically presented, with just enough detail. My kids should love this!
The Skimm is an American membership company dedicated to help subscribers live smarter lives. Founded in 2012 by Danielle Weisberg and Carly Zakin, both 26 years old. Both were practically penniless at the time.
Since then their subscription newsletter has evolved into an app which sends daily news blurbs to my phone and 7 million + others. This book is icing on the cake, but I have a feeling there is more to come!
